It was spectacular!

The most memorable time for me, was watching the olympics at the start of the opening ceremony. I thought it was very special when they lit  the flame.


The 2012 Olympics is being held in London. The Olympics started in Greece in 1896. It was known as the Games of the 1st Olympiad. Now the Olympics are held 4 years, so the next one would be in 2016.

Danny Boyle was the person who organised the opening ceremony that was held in London 2012. The ceremony was spectacular and extraordinary because the fireworks were just like the five rings.

It was very exciting when the Olympics started because the flame lit up and that was very special . The person that designed the flame was  Londoners Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. The torch weighs 800 grams nearly a kilo.

I thought the 2012 Olympics was an amazing event and I look forward to 2016.
