A wonderful year
Everyday coming to school has been a great pleasure. All the events like athletics and other things were awesome. Term 1 all the way to Term 4 has been a wonderful experience and the happiest year at this school for me.

Wow! 2013 has gone very fast. In a few weeks I will be graduating and going to college. I am very happy to be going college, but sad too because I will be leaving . For the past 8 years since I was a little kid that just started school I am now a Year 8. As we all know you have to grow up and start your new life.
Sports Camp has got to be the best memory out of all the memories. Spending a week with all the Year 7's and 8's well most of them. Playing sports even in sunshine or rain we all had a great time. To top it off our school came 2nd out of all the school's. This was definitely something to remember. It was really good for our first time going to Sports Camp. I hope that next year we will come 1st and be champions.
To be honest I am happy that I came to Glen Innes School and I know that everyone who attends this school surely agree's with me.

My inspiration

Some day I would like to finish school but I would like to graduate first. My inspirational person has bee n a huge help with my learning and has helped me a lot. One day I hope that she will be proud of me and she will know that she was the person who inspired me. I have actually gained a lot of confidence and now that I have, I think that I will be able to make it to University.
She has had a bundle of jobs. I know that one of the reasons that she gets jobs is because of her personality. She loves to talk and communicate with the other workers. She is currently working at a restaurant as a chef and learns a lot of new things every day just like me at school. For example she never knew that people eat rabbits, frogs or snails. I didn't know that either until she told me.
She is not just my inspiration she is also my sister. The one thing I love about Lingi is that even though we have our ups and downs we get through them and never look back. No matter what, we will still love each other like sisters do. I am so grateful to have a sister like Lingi. She is one of my favourite sisters. I know that not many people get sisters like my sister.
When Lingi was learning how to drive, I would always laugh at her because she made little mistakes. But my sister just kept persevering and never gave up. Until one day she was confident enough and she went to apply for her drivers license. In just a blitz they sent out her license. So now whenever she drives I don’t laugh at her because it’s not funny any more. This has definitely taught me that you should persevere and never give up. She might even be my driving instructor.
Lingi sometimes looked after me when no one is home. She has always been there for me and has never let me down. It’s like she has a responsibility to look after me. Lingi will do anything for me and in return I will try and be responsible just like her.
Interviewing my sister has been great and really cool that I don’t have to do research because I already know things about her. Now I know more about Lingi than before. I learnt a lot of new things that I never knew before.

Who inspires me ?
I respect my older brother for being brave enough to wrap a body up. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that. Even though he didn't feel confident he still did what he was told. My brother is a person who likes to help others and not just himself. He always thinks about others. The one thing that he has definitely taught me is that it’s good to help others and don’t just think of yourself. Quin experienced something new that he has never done in his entire life.
Although it was hard for my family to say bye to Quin we still love and supported him through every way we could. It was a huge step for him to go and start a new life in Australia. I am proud of him for doing so. Quin has set an excellent example for me and I now know that. I will always know what he has done and when I grow up I want to go live in Australia too.
Quin always gives me a gift. It’s not the gift that counts it’s the thought that he put in. I think that everything he gives me I cherish like gold, even if it’s something small. He has given me something that was so special it is an ipad. The very first photo on my ipad was a picture of him and I posing together. I think that he is the best at giving me presents.
Not only does he buy me stuff, he even takes me places that I have never been before. When Quin lived in NZ and worked at Montana Wines on his day off he would either take us to the beach and have fun or he would take us for a drive. Quin is a very outgoing person. He loves the outdoors as much as I do. He loves to go out with his friends or go to the movies.
The number one thing I like about Quin is that he is my favourite older brother. Everything we have done will be remembered in that little brain of mine, I hope. I am grateful for every moment we have spent together and I hope that one day he will come back to New Zealand to see me again.
I am so lucky to be his brainy little sister.
It was good interviewing you from Australia on a website we could private mail. I’m so glad we can both still talk even though we live far apart from each other.
